LAHORE/ISLAMABAD, July 28: Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the government was not discharging its duties for the solution of the Kashmir issue while the champions of human rights were silent on the brutalities of Indian occupation forces in Held Kashmir.
Addressing the participants of the JI central workshop at Mansoora on Thursday, he said that the rulers’ cowardice was the main hurdle in the liberation of Kashmir. He said that the government should have apprised the world community of the recent wave of atrocities of the occupation forces but it failed.
Sirajul Haq said the JI had requested the government to hold an APC for evolving a common stance on the issue but the government did not deem it necessary to do that.
He said that the APC on July 29 in the federal capital would force the government to adopt a firm stance on the Kashmir issue while the Azadi march from Lahore to Wagha on July 31, would give a clear message to the Kashmiris that they were not alone in their liberation struggle as the entire Pakistani nation stood behind them.
He said that while India was infiltrating terrorists into this country, the Pakistani rulers were sending gifts to Modi and the Foreign Office was silent like graveyard on this issue.
He said the Quaid -e- Azam wanted to send the Pak army into
Kashmir in 1947 in order to protect the jugular line of Pakistan but the Army General who was a British, refused to obey and proved his loyalty to India.
Sirajul Haq said that as India had thrust slavery on the Kashmiris, the ruling elite in the country was sucking the blood of the masses here. Hypocrite politicians, feudal lords, vaderas and capitalists were holding the two hundred million people of the country as slaves and were plundering the public exchequer. The political parties had become family clubs. The politicians loyal to the US and Britain were holding all political power in their hands. These people had built empires while the man in the street was burdened under foreign and internal debt. These politicians had split the nation on the basis of region and ethnicity.
While rejecting the corrupt system of the elite, Sirajul Haq appealed to the masses to stop feeding the serpents and scorpions, and support the JI in its Jehad against corruption and exploitation.
Meanwhile Senator Sirajul Haq has stressed upon the government to provide full legal help to the Pakistani in Indonesian jail who had been sentenced to death despite having been proved innocent.
Talking to the media outside the Parliament House on Thursday, he said it was tragic that while the Indian government was trying its best to protect the Indian national although he had been proved guilty, the Pakistan government was doing nothing to save the countryman although he had proved to be innocent.-Sabah
