The axis of treason led by Mahmood Achakzai and co-led by Maulana Fazlur Rahman has thrown a challenge at the people of Pakistan that every patriot of the country wild have to accept and counter in a befitting manner.

The two are remnants of a tradition that had not accepted either the concept or the creation of Pakistan. Maulana Fazlur Rahman is basically a soldier of fortune — an ever-available mercenary to play any role at anyone’s bidding who is in a position and is willing to pay the price of his services. In addition, he spearheads a school of thought that regards the Founder of Pakistan as a person with inadequate and doubtful Muslim credentials. Ironically, of all the persons in the political arena, he has been the one to catch the attention of the leaderships of both the PPP and the PML (N) for the very important and consequential post of ‘Chairman Kashmir Committee’ of the Parliament.

Even more ironically, it is him our Prime Minister turns to, for political help when in trouble.

The other key member— and far more dangerous— of the axis of treason— Mahmood Achakzai sent shock waves into the ‘veins’ of the entire Nation when he declared that KPK conceptually and pragmatically happened to be a part of Afghanistan— simply on the basis of ethnic linguistic and regional commonalities.

And as recently as yesterday he has championed the cause of the Indian RAW, by putting the blame of the acts of terror directly and indirectly on our Security forces— specifically the Army. And he chose the platform of the Parliament to launch his assault on the defenders of Pakistan.

That the two masters of treason mentioned above happen to be the key members of the Prime Minister’s political team is an irony that will soon have to be addressed by each patriotic citizen of Pakistan. We cannot afford to let our country be ruled by those very elements that are laying dynamite at its foundations.

Wake up Pakistan.

And build a new graveyard — the graveyard of traitors.
