RAWALPINDI, August 12: Law enforcement agencies have arrested 10 terrorists including two commanders and four suspected suicide bombers during combing operations in Kallar Syedan, Gujar Khan areas of Rawalpindi and Khyber Agency.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition including IEDs were also recovered from their possession, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in statement issued on Friday.
“Combing operations are under way across the country to bust terrorist sleeper cells and eliminate hiding terrorists,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, Levies and Khasadar Force arrested four suspected suicide bombers in Shaks area of Tehsil Jamrud who had infiltrated into the tribal area from across the border.
A spokesman for the FC said that five suicide jackets and explosives were also recovered from their possession. The spokesman said that
the suspects were shifted to Jamrud jail. The suspects were planning to carry out terrorist attacks on the eve of Independence Day. -Online
