ISLAMABAD, August 15: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a reference seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. Reference was submitted after approval by Parliamentary committee of PTI as the 8th meeting of ToRs Committee on Panama Leaks, did not produce any result. The reference stated that as per Article 62, 63, Primer Minister Nawaz Sharif is no more trustworthy and eligible for premiership after Panama leaks disclosers. The reference prepared by PTI’s Hamid Khan and Naeem Bukhari demanding disqualification of PM was presented to Sardar Ayaz Sadiq by Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Shireen Mazari and other party leaders.
PTI’s Vice Chairman and Deputy Parliamentary leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi while talking to media stated that Panama Paper’s disclosers had created tremble around the world. However, Qureshi stated that if government invites us talks on ToRs could be held. He added that all the opposition parties are agreed on Panama leaks.
Responding a question, he said that future strategy will be announced in the next party’s meeting. Shah Mehmood also regretted over National Assembly double standard adding that when PML-N submitted reference against PTI Chairman Imran Khan Media was allowed to cover this event but on the other hand when PTI submitted disqualification reference against PM media was not allowed. It is vital to mention here that both political parties had also filed references against each other for the same purpose.-Online
