PESHAWAR, August 22: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that the government will not make any compromise on provision of health facilities to the people.He said this while presiding over a meeting to discuss the issues of Mian Rashid Hospital Pabbi and extension of healthcare facilities at district and Tehsil level here at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar Monday. Provincial Minister Shahram Tarakai, MPA Mian Khaliqur Rehman, Naib Nazim town Nowshera, Secretary Health, Chief Executive RAHBAR NGO and other concerned officials attended.The Chief Minister directed to complete inquiry report regarding substandard facilities at rural health center at Akbar Pura, Nowshehra at the earliest. He also directed for the deployment of class IV employees for administration of the healthcare facilities at the Centre. He also directed to firm up PC I for the secondary and primary healthcare at district and Tehsil level in order to strengthen efficient healthcare there. The Chief Minister said inefficiency in the services was intolerable because his government made legislations including Right to Information and Right to Services. Under these circumstances, even a lay man could ask for the information about the utilization of resources in all sectors by the government and the services available for them. Meanwhile, presiding over a meeting of the select committee on proposed whistle blower act at the Provincial Assembly Secretariat Peshawar here Monday, the Chief Minister said that the essence of the whistle blower law is to eliminate corruption and corrupt practices in the public affairs and the governance related issues strengthening the check and balance mechanism in all spheres of public dealings including the judicial utilization of hard earned public resources.
The meeting took for debate the relevant law and discussed threadbare its various sections. The participants presented certain amendments to the proposed law and made certain recommendations to make it more effective and reconcile to the ground reality.-PR
