251873MANCHESTER: Pakistan cricket team arrived in Manchester for the one-off Twenty20 against England on Wednesday (tomorrow), ARY News reported.
Pakistan will be looking to end the tour on a winning note after leveling the four-match test series 2-2 and losing the ODI series by 4-1. The team players are practicing hard in order to win the T20 game in Manchester, sources said.
Wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed will lead the Pakistan team in the T20 game against hosts. He was made skipper of the T20 team after firebrand Shahid Afridi stepped down as the captain.
It should be noted that Afridi’s leadership came under question following Pakistan’s dismal show in this year’s Asia Cup and World Twenty20 in Bangladesh and India.
Selectors have included Amad Butt, Sohail Tanvir and Khalid Latif in the squad.
The match will start at 10.30 pm according to Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
Pakistan (squad): Sarfraz Ahmed (captain), Khalid Latif, Sharjeel Khan, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Mohammad Nawaz, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Irfan, Sohail Tanvir and Amad Butt.
England (squad): Eoin Morgan (captain), Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Tymal Mills, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, David Willey and Mark Wood.
