KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday said that he had no plans of coming to Karachi. However, when Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder used the language against Pakistan, he decided to come.
Addressing a rally in Karachi, he said, “I want to tell people of Karachi, you are not alone.”
Imran Khan said that MQM founder wants to divide the country. “I was inspired by Azeem Tariq. Altaf felt threatened by Azeem Tariq so had killed him”, he said
He said that he who cannot conquer his fears cannot do anything big. The nation that lives in fear becomes slave.
“I want to give Muhajirs a message today. You don’t need to tell anyone how patriotic you are”, he said.
“The bloodshed of partition affected so many families. Those people gave sacrifices and respected Pakistan” Talking about the patriotism of Muhajirs, he said that his fellow player Javed Miandad was also a Muhajir and was greatly patriotic. “Whenever I got into trouble, Miandad would step up” he added. Khan said the MQM founder had damaged Karachi.
He said that the founder of MQM in collaboration with India’s spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) destabilised Karachi.
“The type of language used by Altaf Hussain that Pakistan should be divided, they hatred he has exhibited for Pakistan by chanting anti-Pakistan slogans, he has destabilised Karachi along with RAW. Businesses have left the city, unemployment has risen. We want to tell people of Karachi and especially Muhajirs that I am with you.”
He added that his mother along with the whole family had migrated to Pakistan and those who had done so were more patriotic.
Speaking on the prime minister, Khan said Nawaz Sharif was hiding billions in offshore companies and had been caught red-handed.
Khan further said that threats of coming to Bani Gala would not stop the march to Raiwind. He invited the entire nation to take part in the Raiwind march.
