Uri attack has fanned war hysteria to an extent that Indian media unanimously and very openly demanding punishment for Pakistan; in shape of surgical strikes coupled with military engagement. Indian official stance as usual was neither unexpected nor rationale. Hawks like Rajnath Singh and Manohar Parikar blamed Pakistan first for this attack and apparently demanded proofs from their agencies later. Who is the beneficiary of this attack? It is not difficult to understand! Indian held Kashmir is witnessing a revival of freedom movement after martyrdom of Burhan Wani. This fresh uprising is indigenous and surprising too for the regional as well as global players. For India, it is nothing but sheer embarrassment and humiliation. There is an unprecedented prolonged curfew stretched over a period of more than two months. Masses could neither offer Juma prayers nor there were eid celebrations. Routine life has come to a serious halt with closure of business, public service offices, educational institutes and hospitals. Shahadat of over one hundred and injuries of thousands of innocent civilians could not yet break the will of Kashmiris. Worst state sponsored terrorism have failed to fetch a sigh of relief for Indian war lords. This embarrassing failure is really pinching and unbearable for Indian decision makers who possess a hateful mindset. Expecting a sane step from extremist hawks like Modi, Rajnath Singh and Ajeet Doval will be a highly flawed assessment. Kashmiris are no longer ready to live under Indian flag and malafide constitutional arrangement. Son of Maharaja has openly admitted that Indian occupation in Kashmir was fraudulent, unjustified and illegitimate. There is a verdict of Indian court which clearly states that Kashmir had never been part of Indian state territory. This bitter truth finds total denial from Indian hawks. Indian policy of persistent denial of Kashmiri issue and customary blame game against Pakistan has failed miserably. Blind use of military might to crush the public sentiment was a sheer mistake. Recent Kashmiri uprising has proved this bitter reality. India is facing a tough situation at UNGA session. Uri attack is obviously an attempt to blanket the abhorrent atrocities. India is all set to malign Pakistan on account of x-border terrorism. What else one can expect from a gang of trigger happy extremist vagabond like Modi, Ajeet Doval and Rajnath Singh. Absence of political engagement and persistent state of denial in Kashmir has worsen the situation. Merely blaming Pakistan will not work any more. Pakistan is providing moral support to righteous struggle of Kashmiris. It is time to be extra cautious and vigilant. A military misadventure from India remains a strong probability. We are not dealing with politicians rather it is a gang of extremist warlords. Growing Indo – USA nexus poised against CPEC and Pak – China cooperation is another serious issue meriting an indepth analysis. An Indian strike on Pak territory will definitely have implications beyond bilateral scope as an escalated environment might directly affect the originating point of CPEC. It is not difficult to understand that any major disturbance in this region would serve whose purpose!
