Says his government is utilising provincial resources for the welfare of people
PESHAWAR, September 24: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak on Saturday paid a surprise visit to the Medical Complex Hayatabad where he visited emergency, cardiology, MRI and other wards of the hospital. He enquired after the health of patients and asked them about the medical facilities being provided in the hospital. He also inspected the instruments, equipments and other facilities and the newly installed MRI. On this occasion, Pervez Khattak directed that doctors, nurses and other staff must affix their cards during the duty in order to facilitate public and enable them to have easy access to the responsible to get desired services.
He also talked about the health reforms and added that purpose behind the reforms in hospitals was also to deliver efficiently to the poor masses, he added. The Chief Minister said that his government had given autonomy to the major hospitals and passed MTI law to provide maximum and standard medical facilities to the common man. Other initiatives were also underway to further improve the public run hospitals. He also directed for cleanliness in the hospital and said that an appropriate and clean environment was mandatory to maintain diseases free hospital. Pervez Khattak said that his government was utilizing provincial resources for the welfare of people. Sehat Ka Insaf Card was the matchless initiative of his government. Under this pro-poor initiative, 1.8 million families would get free medical treatment up to 545,000 annually. This was the only government which had pro-poor policies and was striving to bring about a positive change in their lives. He stressed to make this effort a success story.-PR
