Image result for India PakistanIt seems that Modi has fallen into the trap laid for him by his own establishment who wish to subjugate Pakistan, in the form of accusations that India has been responsible for funding nationalist elements in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. Modi’s statement only affirmed the Pakistani establishment’s perspective, which was reinforced after the capture of a RAW agent in Quetta. It could possibly lead to the Pakistani military’s consolidation of broadening security presence in the province. It is also unlikely that following Modi’s statement, hardcore religious elements, who are considered as backing the freedom fighters in India Occupied Kashmir (IOK), would backpedal from their support for various militant outfits working against India to settle scores with New Delhi.
After Modi’s statement, Indian diplomacy is feeling itself in hot-waters. India has always made efforts to distance itself from the Balochistan situation and always refuted Pakistan’s allegations regarding its involvement. Modi has bridged this distance in his speech. India’s sponsorship of terrorism in Balochistan, and support for the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has been a part of its strategy to weaken Pakistan. The capture of the RAW agent, along with the substantial evidences proved Indian sponsorship of terrorism against Pakistan. India has carried out subversive activities in Pakistan through outfits like the TTP and BLA, in collaboration with Afghanistan’s National Directorate of Security (NDS).
Modi’s earlier statement regarding Indian’s role in making Bangladesh was a confirmation of Indian interference and aggression, besides it also depict Indian’s subversive policy and commitment against Pakistan. Few years back when Mr Ajit Doval became Prime Minister Modi’s National Security Advisor, a video clip of a speech, he made earlier in which he advocated ‘offensive-defensive’ instead of ‘defensive-defense’ went viral. He actually pointed to create disturbance in Pakistan to avoid vice-versa. India’s Hindustan Times has also confirmed that the doctrine advocated by Doval is indeed being implemented. Even Hindustan Times disapproved the idea and concluded that the Doval doctrine is deeply flawed. There is no doubt that the intended and implemented doctrine would bring catastrophic consequences for both the countries and the Region. As a part of the said doctrine, being implemented, we have seen the disclosure of Indian covert operations against Pakistan especially in Balochistan through the confessions by the captured Indian terrorists whose network operated from Iran and Afghanistan. Then Prime Minister Modi’s speech on the occasion of Indian Independence Day also confirmed Indian plans of destabilization in Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan.
India is not creating disturbances within Pakistan but is also busy to manipulate estrange friendly States like Afghanistan and Iran to work against Pakistan. The anti Pakistan stance by the Afghan President during his recent visit to New Delhi and India’s gift of a billion dollars in return adds to the murky picture.
India’s Balochistan strategy has been given substance by the establishment of a powerful radio station beaming anti Pakistan propaganda and the expected decision to grant Indian citizenship to Mr. Brahmdagh Bugti, who is leading insurgency in Balochistan. India’s opposition to the CPEC has already been known besides the US and Afghanistan seem to be on the same page with India on that.
India’s strategy to achieve its dream of reeling in the Great Power status and undo Pakistan’s efforts towards stability is being manifested in the form of political pressure, economic isolation, defamation by the media, and financing terrorism. The Indian Prime Minister has galvanized the anti Pakistan stance by his statements on Balochistan and Pakistan’s Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. It is not a coincidence that these regions figure prominently in the CPEC and all these chains are interlinked to sabotage the project.
India is making all her efforts to sabotage CPEC project. The recent Uri attack was an orchestrated event and part of the ‘Doval Doctrine’. After all cans of Pakistan origin drinks etc can hardly be called proof of Pakistan’s involvement in said attack.
Pakistan has clearly stated that it has no hand in the Uri attack, India is not only maligning Pakistan in Uri attack but she is also dragging Pakistan in the recent violence of IOK. Pakistan has denied any involvement in IOK violence by stating that it was entirely the consequence of Indian polices. India would be making a tragic mistake, if it blames Pakistan, closes the joint investigation option and opts for retaliation. It is hoped that Mr. Modi will not get pressured by the Hindu extremist mindset into making a decision that could lead to miseries for the innocent people in both the countries. This is the time for Statesmanship and diplomacy and not war. However, Pakistan would be found ready to counter any situation.
