moonKARACHI, October 2: The new Islamic year will begin from today Monday as the moon of Muharram ul Harram was sighted.
According to media reports, the announcement was made by the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman
after presiding over a meeting here. The chairman of the committee on this occasion offered special prayers for solidarity, integrity, progress and prosperity of the country and freedom of Kashmir and Palestine. The Ashura would fall on October 12 (Wednesday).-Online
