- PML-N Opposed, ANP abstained and PTI & JI supported the resolution
PESHAWAR, October 5: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Wednesday has adopted a resolution demanding immediate impartial investigation into Panama Papers .
According to details, PPP Parliamentary leader in the KPK Assembly, Muhammad Ali Shah tabled the resolution seeking proble into Panama Papers in the KPK Assembly which met in Peshawar with its KPK Assembly Speaker, Assad Qaiser in the chair.
The resolution said Panama Papers have revealed biggest corruption scandal of the world which includes the names of the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif and his family members. The resolution also demanded the Government to formulate TORs in consultation with the Opposition and asked the Judiciary to immediately hold independent investigation into the Panam Papers so that looters of the national wealth could be made accountable. During voting on the resolution members of the PML-N opposed the resolution while ANP abstained. Members of PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami supported the resolution. – Agencies
