RISALPUR, October 6: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has emphatically stated that any aggression or strategic miscalculation on the part of our enemy will meet the most befitting response. COAS said we will be highly relentless in defending our motherland against entire spectrum of threat. He said Pakistan is a responsible country and remains committed to follow the policy of friendship with all countries based on equality and mutual respect. He said while doing so armed forces of the country are fully prepared to give the most befitting response to any kind of internal and external threat posed to our nation. He said enemies of Pakistan’s peace and prosperity have been distressed by the sight of our successes. He said the nefarious designs of enemies will not be allowed to succeed at any cost.
While addressing the passing out parade of Pakistan Air Force cadets at Risalpur Army Chief said we have recently witnessed an unfortunate display of utter desperation playing out inside occupied Kashmir and along Line of Control through a litany of falsehood and distortion of facts by India. We expect international community to condemn Indian insinuations and fabrications about a nation that has made unparallel contribution in the global fight against terrorism. He said Pakistan wants good relations with all its neighbors but no one should make any mistakes about our collective resolve to defend our motherland. He said any aggression born out of deliberate intent or even a strategic miscalculation will not be allowed to go unpunished and will be met with the most befitting response.
Raheel Sharif said Pakistan is a responsible country and remains committed to follow the policy of friendship with all other countries on the basis of mutual respect and equality. However, the armed forces are fully prepared to give the most befitting response to any internal and external threat posed to our nation.
On the internal front, the Army Chief said operation Zarb-e-Azb has turned the tide against the terrorists. The role of Pakistan Air Force has been crucial in achieving our objective of rooting out the terrorists. Synergy between the services towards the internal front, operation Zarb-e-Azb has turned the tide against terrorists.
The Army Chief said we have achieved phenomenal success in uprooting terror infrastructure and now we are engaged in eliminating the residual threats in the form of facilitators and sympathizers through intelligence and combing operations across the country.
The Army Chief said the enemies of Pakistan’s peace and prosperity are distressed by the sight of our successes. They are accelerating efforts to harm Pakistan through direct and indirect strategy. Their nefarious designs will not be allowed to succeed at any costs. He said resolute efforts to consolidate our gains is the way forward for which we will not leave any stone unturned. He said those inimical to regional peace will not be allowed to succeed in their designs. Their evil plots and plans will be defeated.
Appreciating the professionalism of the PAF, the Army Chief said it is satisfying that the air force is vigoroulsy working to retain its cutting edge. The ongoing exercise high mark is a vivid demonstration of its preparedness for war. Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman and other officers of the Pakistan Air Force were also present on the occasion.-Sabah
