LAHORE, October 7: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif visited the Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Headquarters on Friday. The COAS was given detailed briefing by DG Rangers, Maj Gen Umar Farooq Burki about operational preparedness of the force. Talking to the officers and soldiers of Punjab Rangers, Gen Raheel Sharif appreciated the high state of morale, operational preparedness and vigil being maintained by troops along the Working Boundary and International Border. According to a statement issued by the ISPR, the COAS also laid floral wreath at Shuhada Memorial to pay homage to Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) martyrs who rendered supreme sacrifices for the defence of motherland.
