Ministry-of-Foreign-AffairsISLAMABAD, October 14: Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria has said that India is nervous because of diplomatic offensive by Pakistan to expose New Delhi over situation in Occupied Kashmir.
During his weekly news briefing here on Friday, Zakaria said ceasefire violations on Line of Control (LoC) and interference in the internal affairs of neighbours are indicative of Indian nervousness.
The spokesman regretted that India was obstructing dispatch of fact-finding mission by UN Human Rights Council to Occupied Kashmir.
He said the claim of surgical strikes is one of the many lies that India has been telling to the world community. He said its objective was to divert attention of the world from gross human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.
Nafees Zakaria India media reported many things against facts and credit goes to Pakistani media for exposing it.
He said Pakistan has very effectively taken up the situation in Kashmir at all levels. He said it will continue to highlight Indian atrocities and human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir at world fora. He also reiterated Pakistan’s political, moral and diplomatic support for the just cause of Kashmiris.
The spokesman said Pakistan High Commissioner to UK handed over dossier on human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir to the UK special representative on Afghanistan and Pakistan.
He said for the last more than three months, Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir are continuing and causalities keep rising.
To a question, he said there is growing national consensus in the country to eliminate terrorism in all its forms and manifestation. He said there is zero tolerance on terrorism and he said Pakistan is carrying out indiscriminate action against all terrorists.
Foreign Office Spokesman said Indian obstinacy is the main hurdle in the way of implementation of UN resolutions on Kashmir. He said India is constantly violating the UN resolutions on Kashmir and charter of world body.
Nafees Zakaria, defended the government decision to place a travel ban on a prominent journalist over an article he wrote about an alleged rift between the military and the centre by saying Cyril Almeida himself admitted that the October 6 story was based on assumptions.
