He said that the Prime Minister stated in the National Assembly that he had presented his family up for accountability but now he is ignoring the issue. “He is hiding behind inauguration ceremonies, he is going places, but not talking about accountability.”
The PTI chief said that his party had been asking him to come out clean over allegations in the Panama Leaks for the last six months. “But if the judicial institutes do not listen to us what option have be left but to protest on the streets?” he said
He accused the prime minister of emptying the public kitty adding that they will completely shut down the capital.
“Our last protest was different. Its demands were different. This time we will not let public offices work. We will sit on the streets and not let government to run its daily matters,” he said.
He said his workers will block all streets that lead to the government offices.
Khan said that he had contacted opposition parties earlier but they all made excuses. “This time we will not ask them again. But there is open invitation for everyone.”
The PTI has threatened to shut down Islamabad on October 30 over the issue of Panama Leaks.-
Imran Khan said the siege of the federal capital was inevitable because the nation wanted a corruption-free Pakistan. Khan said, not without justice, PTI would leave the roads now.
He sounded confident that the residents of Islamabad would come out of their homes and support the PTI in its fight against a corrupt Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government at the centre.-Agencies
