- Pakistan, Qatar discuss ways to expand cooperation in diverse sectors

DOHA, October 23: Qatari Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Muhammad al-Attiyah called on President Mamnoon Hussain in Doha on Sunday.
They discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly defense sector.
President Mamnoon Hussain said Pakistan wants to enhance its cooperation with Qatar in defence field and offered to provide training to Doha for defence, defence production, and in anti-terrorism efforts.
He said Operation Zarb-e-Azb and National Action Plan have been successful in elimination of terrorism from the country.Qatari Minister of State for defense appreciated Pakistan’s achievements in fight against terrorism.
Both sides agreed to resolve all outstanding issues being faced by Muslim Ummah through unity.
Talking to Qatar’s Minister for Administrative Development and Social Affairs Dr. Issa Saad Al-Jafali Al-Nuaimi in Doha today, the president said Pakistan wants Qatar to increase labour quota for Pakistanis.
He said the process of acquiring visa for Qatar should also be made easy.
He said one hundred and twenty-five thousand Pakistanis are contributing to the economy of Qatar, and Pakistan can fulfill the needs of the brotherly country in this regard for having abundant human resource.
Mamnoon Hussain said Pakistan gives high value to its relationship with Qatar and wants to expand it further.-Sabah
