- Orders redesigning of multi-purpose project at Nishterabad, Peshawar to make it more beneficial
PESHAWAR, February 2: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has ordered redesigning of the multi-purpose project including residential flats, shopping mall and entertainment facilities at Nishterabad Peshawar to make the project more beneficial, says a press release.
He issued these directives while presiding over a high level meeting convened to review the preparatory measures for the construction of markets and flats at Nishterabad here Tuesday. Advisor to CM Akbar Ayub, Secretary C&W, Consultants and other attended the meeting. High ups of the communication and works department on the occasion briefed the meeting about site, design, cost and structure of the proposed project.
The Chief Minister on this occasion directed the authorities concerned to finalise the design and other requirements within two weeks. He also directed that the process of demolishing of the existing buildings should be completed till March 15, before the government enters into an agreement with FWO for the construction of the project. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also directed the authorities of Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority to expedite work at Budani bridge, Charsadda-Nowshera road and allied connectivities. He asked to complete the project and roads connection network with the stipulated period.
Later on the Chief Minister also chaired a meeting regarding Health Care Commission at Chief Minister House Tuesday afternoon. The meeting was attended by Secretary Health, Chairman Board of governor health care commission and others. The Chief Minister was briefed in details about the performance of the commission. He directed the authorities concerned to take immediate measures to protect the lives of poor people. He also ordered strict action against the sale of spurious and unregistered medical products. Similarly he also directed for taking action against the irresponsible staff of the health sector to ensure the efficient delivery of services to the people. The CM also directed the concerned authorities to take steps to make the health care commission effective enabling it to streamline the health care delivery system.-PR
