It has been a little more than two years since the PTI’s Azadi March and things have never been this volatile and exciting in Pakistani Politics. On one hand, one of the front men of PMLN has been sacrificed to save the Princess of ruling party and on the other hand the Prime Minister has been on a project announcing rampage himself while imposing article 144 all over Pakistan. Meaning, The Prime Minister has officially turned into a dictator, who can roam freely in any part of the country, doing whatever he pleases but if anyone else dare to even stand in a crowd of more than 2 people they will be arrested. What a sensationalized, undemocratic and dictatorial version of democracy do we have in Pakistan! It is all a joke.
Democracy is pimped out in order for the powered to stay in power. Otherwise, in the real sense of the word, our country is suffering from the worst form of civilian dictatorship.
It is mind boggling and extremely impossible to digest that there is evidence against each and every single corrupt person in the running government including their relatives and we all know it and we still cannot get rid of them. There has to be something completely wrong with our design, that this can go on. Park Lane, Panama Leaks, National Security Leak, NOTHING is enough to put the status quo behind bars. But standing up for our rights is enough reason for anyone to be incarcerated. What kind of decaying system have we created and accepted? Do you not think it is the fault of each and every single Pakistani?
For someone who thinks out and beyond the mediocrity of routine, times are not very pleasant. Situation around the world is scary. Firstly, there is a strategic propaganda against Muslims all over the world and secondly, there is a planned strategic aggression against Pakistan. So being a Pakistani Muslim is a double jeopardy. In such a situation, if your country is also going through turmoil you become really disheartened. Looking at what is happening right now in Pakistan makes me lose sleep.
This has been happening for 30 odd years, but now, people have become more aware of it. However it is not enough to just be aware of it, we all have a social and moral responsibility to play our part in changing things. I was reading somewhere that no one is scared of one bee, but when there are thousands of bees, even the bravest run for cover. If you apply the same logic to a country, no one will pay heed to a small group of people repeating themselves, but when the whole nation gathers against the system of injustice, the status quo will have no choice but to cave in. That is the reason that they play on with the strategy of divide and conquer.
I only wonder, what will happen on 2nd of November when IF people could gather from all around the country
despite the hurdles and the imposed article 144, what choice will the Prime Minister have? If we all gathered and stood for our rights, what do you suppose we can achieve? How many of us will they kill? How many of us can they possibly put behind bars? How many of us can they buy?
Imagine
A country where a princess cannot get away with leaking security information
A country where a Defense Minister will actually defend the country instead of licking the boots of his Master.
A country where an interior minister gets caught and incarcerated for lying on national TV
A country where positions are granted on merit.
A country where the law minister is not accused of killing people
A country without nepotism.
A country where Police will be serving the public
Acountry with independent and fair judicial system
Acountry where the tax money is spent on the welfare of the common man
A country where child labor will be against the law.
A country where the ruling party will not be defending pedophiles
A country where people will have equal opportunities.
A country you will actually be proud of
We all have a role to play, we cannot sit and wait for miracles to happen. Resistance is the first step. Protest makes a hero out of a coward. We can all stand against this anarchy and start asking for our rights.
Pakistan is not the private property of these thieves. It is a great country governed by thugs. It is my home, it is your home.
Let’s put Pakistan first.
