Eventually a sigh of relief for the masses ! Islamabad lock down protest plan now converted in a thanks giving gathering . Supreme court orders provided a win win situation for both rivals ; the ruling party and PTI. Both sides went far ahead in political tug of war and the whole activity was rapidly turning violent . End result was obvious ! It was nothing less than wide scale disaster leading to internal instability . Though , situation is apparently satisfactory but still possibilities of future confrontation exist. A realistic transparent inquiry may settle the issue but past track record of ruling regime adds to the concerns . Unfortunately , culture of decency is vanishing from Pak politics as evident from recent exchange of harsh statements from political rivals . A foul mouth person is considered a better representative of party . News channels took full advantage of such personalities as an indecent phrase or statement earns better rating . A serious analysis or a simple positive or constructive statement is not a desired item now- a – days . There were countless verbal attacks on political rivals which can be graded much below the decency . More disturbing fact is that such irresponsible statements were often made by top leadership and senior politicians . It is highly undesired phenomenon making roots in our politics .It is shocking to listen words like CHOHA(RAT ), GADHA ( donkey), MASKHARA (joker), GIDH (vulture ) for political rivals . Unfortunate and alarming tendency ! Imagine statesmen with such venomous mindsetmay cause what damages once reach at decision making tiers ? Our politics revolve around personalities and non issues . Character assassination and vendetta is the best policy to pin down the opponent . This trend has badly trivialized the highly important sensitive issues . Due coverage was not given to Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir where an unprecedented freedom movement has entered in a critical phase . Similar response was extended to Indian firing at Pak territory which resulted in Shahadat of innocent civilians . There is a dire need to expose real Indian intent which is undoubtedly coercive , damaging and unjustifiably aggressive . Disturbance at western front is another critical potent threat to our security where involvement of Indian hand is obvious . Neither political leadership nor media could play a serious constructive role in sensitizing the nation about looming threats . There was a requirement to put pressure on government to adopt a sharp diplomatic response to plead the case of Pakistan . So far negligence is every where on such issues. Non serious approach coupled with non political indecent mind set multiplies the odds . Country deserves much better than this . Coverage of Fun festival in the name of politics and indecent foul mouthing of few party representativesmight fetch better rating but as a whole it is destructive in many ways . Such developments are directly affecting the social fibre and promoting undesired mannerism. Political leadership should adopt moreresponsiblebehaviour commensurating to their verbal claims and party stature. There has to be a broader consensus on sensitive national matters . Political differences must be carried along in a decent fashion . Negative tendencies of harsh statements and character assassination must be curbed . Top political leadership should consider this matter as a joint social responsibility . Indecent conduct of firebrand representatives leaves a highly distasteful impression and disgusting influence on youth. Media houses may opt to a positive policy through mature self censoring and strict screening of ill reputed participants . Ignorant approach and limitless lust for top rating is no less than death of decency in society .
