If I were Mian Nawaz Sharif and were caught up in two different whirlpools at the same time, as he is caught up, I too would have appointed the same kind of Probe Committee as he has pointed, to ascertain source that leaked information about a high-level meeting between top military and civil officials. Like him I too would be knowing that this was not a matter of ‘Leak’ but ‘fabrication’, and that the story was first ‘constructed’ and then planted in the newspaper mentioned.
I too would make sure that I wouldn’t be the one, nor my ‘loved ones’ to be found guilty of committing such a despicable breach of national security. I too wouldn’t hasten to get under pressure and to appoint a committee that would lose no time in uncovering the Truth. I too would buy maximum time to let the matter lose its steam. Then at an ‘opportune’ moment appoint a committee whose collective job would be to neutralize and nullify the presence on it of the representatives of the dangerous ISI and MI. I too would make sure that the Probe Committee would be headed by a gentleman worthy of my trust, confidence and favours.
I too would remind myself of my guiding principle. “Don’t trust anyone you have not bought and paid for.”
I too would be prepared to go to any extreme to defend my Power and my Fortune.
But Allah didn’t intend me to be Mian Nawaz Sharif . Allah wanted the Prime Minister to have no parallel.
Allah was Merciful to me.
