- Orders completion of Peshawar Zoo project in 8 months to provide recreational facilities to the people

PESHAWAR, February 3: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that devolution of power for empowering the people at grass root level is a must. He added that police should maintain their team spirit and depoliticize themselves completely to deliver the people properly. These view he expressed while chairing a high level meeting convened to review the draft of proposed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act 2016.
Chairman PTI Imran Khan was also present on this occasion.
The meeting was briefed about the said act in details and a comprehensive report was presented on the police reforms of provincial government. A fruitful debate was done by the participants in order to make the act most beneficial.
Chief Minister Pervez Khattak while talking on the occasion said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police was emerging as the real efficient force and an example for others by providing efficient security to the people.
He said that the standard of police force was high and 150 Jaguars personnel of police were matching the performance of Army. He added that operation and combat skills of the police force had improved accordingly. He further stated the KP Police had the ability to response to any eventuality.
Meanwhile, addressing the ground breaking ceremony of Peshawar Zoo project at Pakistan Forest Institute here Wednesday morning, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak ordered completion of the Peshawar Zoo Project within eight months to provide recreational facilities to the Peshawarites declaring that government will ensure provision of financial resources for the efficient implementation of the project.
The Chief Minister said that provincial government was taking steps for the rehabilitation and uplift of the terrorism-affected province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that special attention was being given to the development and beautification of the provincial capital.-PR
