sanaullah-zehri-febKARACHI: Chief Minister Balochistan Sardar Sanaullah Khan Zehri on Sunday said fight will continue till eradication of terrorists from Pakistan, sources reported.
“They are cruel people, fight against them will continue. We will make all out security measures at Shah Noorani for the visitors,” he said while talking to media after visiting injured victims at Civil Hospital Karachi.
He said security would be beefed up at the shrine. CCTV cameras would be installed, boundary wall erected and check posts would be established. Meanwhile, he said, the shrine was closed for public until the investigation was completed.
The Balochistan CM said Islamic State (Daesh) have claimed responsibility for this attack. Terrorists had targeted innocent people of every walk including security forces, doctors, policemen and lawyers. Fight against them would continue till the last terrorists was alive, he added. He said later management of the shrine would be handed over to Auqaf department.
Zehri also announced Rs1 million for the dead and Rs0.5 million compensation grant for each injured. He thanked the government of Sindh for transferring the injured to hospitals.
Separately, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced Rs0.5 million for the deceased per family, Rs0.2 million for severely injured and Rs0.1 million for those with mild or less severe injuries.
At least 65 people were killed while over 100 others were injured when a blast struck Shah Noorani shrine in Balochistan’s Hub tehsil on Saturday evening.
The blast hit worshippers participating in a ceremony at the shrine of the Sufi saint Shah Noorani, some 750 kilometres (460 miles) south of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.-Agencies
