  • Says the court doesn’t want to give impression that accountability of only one man is being held

JamaliISLAMABAD, November 17: Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali on Thursday said that, “It will create no issue if the investigation would get start from the ruler of incumbent government.”
According to details, a five-member larger bench of SC headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the case. During the hearing, CJP said that, “The court doesn’t want to give impression that accountability of only one man is being held.”
Meanwhile, Justice Sheikh Azmat said that, “PM’s accountability is carried out on the appeal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan.” The court adjourned the hearing till November 30.
Before outset of the hearing, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s counsel filed an application in the court stating that PTI’s documents filed as evidences in the case are ‘bogus’.
It was stated in the application that PTI’s documents are unacceptable and not based on solid facts. “The applicant should come up with proper documents rather than leveling mere general allegations… We reserve a right to respond and object,” the petition said.
In the previous hearing on Tuesday, the apex court questioned quality of evidence presented by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and deplored that their 680-page submission had almost nothing to do with the Sharif family’s London properties.
Imran Khan’s counsel Naeem Bukhari submitted 686-page documents regarding the assets of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his children at SC Registrar Office.-DNA
