mamnoonKARACHI, November 22: President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the international community to play its due role to prevent turning the inflammable situation along the Line of Control into a full scale war.
Addressing the Defence Exhibition Ideas 2016 in Karachi Tuesday evening, he said Pakistan wants resolution of all disputes through negotiations.
The President said Pakistan believes in non-interference in the affairs of other countries, which is a key to regional peace. He said unfortunately, this tradition could not take roots in South Asia.
Mamnoon Hussain said development and prosperity can only be ensured through peace and tranquility in the region. He said the people of Kashmir have been deprived of their birth right to self-determination as enshrined in the UN Resolutions.
He condemned blatant violations of human rights in the Occupied Kashmir by the Indian forces.
The President said development and prosperity can only be ensured through peace and tranquility in the region.
Shedding light on Pakistan’s sacrifices in war against terrorism, he said Islamabad is committed to fully eliminate this menace for lasting peace and development for the benefit of common masses.
Mamnoon Hussain said Pakistan has been making efforts for peace in Afghanistan and wants complete stability there on the principle of non-interference. He said Afghanistan would continue enjoying facilities under Afghan-Transit Trade Agreement.-NNI
