How lucky we are ! All parties are determined to put Pakistan on right track. No one can beat us in making spicy statements . Verbal claims higher than mountains ! Razor sharp criticism on opponents and blind appreciation of party heads irrespective of their output or performance . Inheritance system in a shining wrapper of democracy still exists and surprisingly veteran democrats silently bow heads in front of party masters without raising a single objection . Such absolute submissions are infact total denial of universally accepted popular democratic principles . Our believe in democracy primarily revolves around such optics which have nothing positive to offer to masses . Polling after five years under a care taker set up and formation of government by the party leading in number game is the biggest symbol of democracy. Transfer of power from one party to another , without any military interference , is also graded as a unique achievement . Constitutional bindings upon rulers demanding efficient governance,through transparent means , carry no weightage . A call for transparency or accountability is interpreted as a direct attack on democracy . Funny acts ,in the name of democracy , played by the major parties have no match in most of countries following various forms of democratic system. It is only possible in Pakistan that a person can jump right into PM’ chair after spending multiple years abroad. A person like Altaf can run a party while being in London for over two decades . Our two ex presidents are happily abroad and always ready to be on board for a prominent portfolio in any ruling set up. A teenage student nominated chairman of a party which exaggeratedly claims to be champion of democracy and liberalism . All veterans remained tight lipped on hereditarydictatorship and now the young leader is making artificial roars to become the future PM of Pakistan. It is possible only in Pakistan as we are really liberal on this account! With all due respect for all those quarters who claim to be liberal in Pakistan that majority of masses have neither understood the purpose of their struggle nor these circles could ever establish roots in real stake holders of the country . Having no clue about the artificial traditional agenda of so called liberal circles , finally masses show a positive nod by being negligent about the credentials of young leadership of PPP. We can term it a liberal approach as if no body is ready to question that Mr Chairman what quality makes you distinctive from many senior comrades of party ? What is your experience in national politics ? What is your level of acquaintance with social dynamics specially once you even miserably fail to speak national language ? These funny practices are only possible in Pakistan . it is not exclusive to PPP as the PML-N offers another set of democratic circus cum jugglery. Nature has stopped producing child with leadership traitsin any other family except the ‘Sharifs’ . Let us rephrase the fact and analyse the reasons of unmatchable popularity of Sharif family in ranks and files of party . Is it competence , acumen ,and performance or something else ? It is a brief but extremely shocking brief description of two major political parties and likewise the other ones are no exception to such cheap tendencies. Looming threat of corruption and bad governance is shaking up the foundation of the society . Major portion of society is deprived from basic amenities of life . Fundamental rights just exist on papers and rule of law is a dream awaiting practical manifestation . Political leadership has failed in delivering any thing positive to society . It surrendered to dictators when it was a time to stand tall for democracy and it could not harness the bureaucracy led executive machinery once the nation entrusted this lot through ballot. Political circus daily offers fresh stunts leaving the masses indecisive whether it is time to laugh or weep? How funny it was once young PPP chairman roared that federal government has failed. No one was there to ask him about the performance of his party in Sindh where thousands of infants died in Thar and despite all sort of media stunts provincial government could not manage the garbage heaps in Karachi . Law and order, education , health and rest of the basic governance matters are in shamble too. Another funny statement was made by his highness PM ,in an advisory about victims of Quetta blast , that best medical facilities be arranged for all the injured at priority. Question instantly arises that had there been best medical facilities available in the country then his highness had not to travel abroad with ailing heart .May we interpret best possible medical facilities as a treatment abroad on government expense for common masses . If yes, then why it could not be ensured ? Answer is simple that neither we held our so called leaders accountable for high sounding verbal claims nor these so called leaders have roots in society . A flawed political system enables them to capture the power corridors like a Trojan horse virus. Nation gets a chance once in five years to get rid of rootless leaders through ballot and traditionally it is missed by the majority . For a change, let’s plan a better performance this time!
