KARACHI, December 10: Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman has said that role of armed forces is significant in the defence of the country. He said that our patience expresses our maturity and enemy should not interpret it wrongly. He said that we very well know how to respond any misadventure of the enemy. He said difficult times have made Pakistani armed forces as battled hardened force. He said the success of the operation Zarb-e-Azb is the manifestation of synergy of the sister armed forces of the country. He said Pakistan is facing different internal and external challenges, adding that unity is required to meet these challenges.
He was addressing the passing out parade ceremony of 106th commissioning term and 15th short service officer’s course of Pakistan Navy in Karachi on Saturday morning.
The Air Chief said Pakistan’s battle hardened troops are fully prepared to respond to any misadventure of the enemy. He said Gwadar Port has the vital importance in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.
He further said Pakistan is confronted with enormous challenges while internal and external threats have changed the regional scenario. The Air Chief said our success in Zarb-e-Azb operation is a clear manifestation of greater synergy that exists amongst the sister organizations of the armed forces.
He said Pakistan Navy is also training the cadets of friendly countries, which include Bahrain, Jordan, Maldives, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka. He said the cadets of friendly countries will work as ambassadors of Pakistan in their respective countries.
Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman asked cadets to stay prepared to lay down their lives for the country if the need arises.
“Cadets should be ready to protect the country with their lives,” he said. Sohail Aman also prayed for the future successes of the cadets.
Seventy cadets including two women, and a Yemen national passed out on Saturday. Naval Chief Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah was also present in the ceremony. -Sabah
