ISLAMABAD, December 11: Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) is being celebrated today (Monday) with religious zeal and fervor.
The day will dawn with 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in all provincial capitals to pay homage to the last Prophet (SAW).
Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) processions will be taken out in different parts of the country. Big and small processions will be taken out in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Karachi, Quetta, Faisalabad, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Abbotabad, Mansehra, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Astore, Skardu, Bahawalpur, Vehari, Jahanian and other areas.

lights. Special Conferences, events and Mahafil-e-Naat have been arranged to pay respect to the last messenger whose whole life and teachings are beacon of light for humanity. Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) had arranged an International Seerat Conference to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi to highlight the message and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Seerat Conferences will also be organized at the provincial headquarters and other main cities and towns. Prominent Ulema will highlight various aspects of Seerat-un Nabi (SAW) calling upon people to follow the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) for their salvation. Special prayers were be held for progress and prosperity of the country.
Strict security measures have been taken in all the major cities to avoid any untoward incident.
Pakistan Television, Radio Pakistan and other media houses will air special programmes underlining different features of the life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW).-Online
