TOPI, December 15: President Mamnoon Hussain says work on China Pakistan Economic Corridor has been accelerated for the benefit of the nation.
Addressing a function in Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology at Topi on Thursday, he said ten thousand Chinese engineers are working on CPEC which will usher a new era of development and prosperity in the country.
The President said proper arrangements have been made for the security of Chinese engineers.
He directed for establishment of Applied Research Centre in the institute to link research and studies with practical development work.
Mamnoon Hussain lauded performance of Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology. He asked students to work hard for the development of the motherland.
Earlier, the President performed groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new hostel in the institute and visited various departments.-Online
