sardar-muhammad-masood-khanISLAMABAD, December 16: President, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan on Friday urged Pakistani students to continue their political and moral support with Kashmiri youth and play their vital role to highlight Kashmir issue.
Addressing the annual convocation and degree award ceremony of the Preston University in Islamabad, he urged the students to highlight Kashmir cause through social media to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir. As many as 400 male and female students of the Preston University have been awarded with degrees in different categories including MA, MS, M.Phil. Chancellor, Preston University Dr Abdul Basit, faculty members, a large number of students and parents also attended the convocation ceremony. President AJK further said, “It was the era of nano science” adding that, “Pakistan can progress only by adopting it.” He expressed the hope that, “The United Kingdom would condemn human rights violations and atrocities by Indian forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir.” The AJK President said, “India was committing gross human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and the entire population was living under extended curfew for over a month now.” Masood Khan also urged the Britain government, Norway and other countries to link their trade contracts with India with peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute. He appealed to the international community to come forward and play its vital role to end the rights abuses and resolve the issue according to the UN resolutions on Kashmir and in the light of the aspiration of Kashmiri people. – DNA
