  • Mirwaiz asks India to respond positively to PM Nawaz’s initiative

SRINAGAR, February 7: In occupied Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader Musadiq Aadil and members of Ittehadul Muslimeen have said that there will be no peace in South Asia without resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
Musaddiq Aadil, Abdul Majeed Wani and Ittehadul Muslimeen leader, Ghulam Hassan during a mass contact programme at Mirgund Narbal in Pattan, Sunday, said comprehensive dialogue for Kashmir settlement in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people was need of the hour. They hailed the government and people of Pakistan for supporting the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for securing right to self-determination.
They urged people to keep vigilant and touch with the Kashmir freedom struggle and reiterated to continue the freedom struggle till taking it to its logical conclusion.
Meanwhile, Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has termed the statement of Pakistani Prime Minister, Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, which he gave while addressing a joint session of AJK Legislative Assembly and Kashmir Council in Muzaffarabad on Solidarity Day, as historic and based on political realities of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement in Srinagar, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said Pakistani premier’s statement that Kashmir dispute was a litmus test for the political foresight of the present Indian and Pakistani leadership not only speaks of a courageous approach to end the present confrontation and distrust between the two countries but also reflects the sincere intentions of Nawaz Sharif about a just resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
Mirwaiz said after the statement of Mian Nawaz Sharif now, it remains to be seen whether the political leadership of India responds to the initiative of prime minister Nawaz Sharif positively and resolves all outstanding issues between the two countries including the Kashmir dispute by initiating a meaningful and result-oriented dialogue process among all the stakeholders.-KMS
