- Inaugurates 40 km service roads project along both sides of the southern section of the Ring Road at Hayatabad
PESHAWAR, February 9: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has formally inaugurated construction work on 40 km long service roads project along both sides of the southern section of the Ring Road at Hayatabad Peshawar on Tuesday afternoon.
The project starting from Zakori flyover and ending at Hayatabad toll plaza will be completed in eight months at a cost of Rs.1932.349 million.
Chairman PTI, Imran Khan, Provincial Ministers, Chief Secretary, high ranking officers and notables were present at the inaugural ceremony. Imran Khan, Chairman PTI and Senior Minister InayatUllah Khan also addressed the ceremony.
Addressing the ground breaking ceremony Pervez Khattak said that provincial government was focusing on the uplift and beautification of Peshawar adding that soon the provincial capital would emerge as a developed city.
He said that instead of hallow slogans, the present government believed in delivery of practical services so that confidence of the people might not be harmed.
He announced on the occasion that Kohat Road construction project would be completed in one year period. He said that the provincial government would continue to provide Peshawarites quality services.
Senior Minister and Minister for Local government InayatUllah Khan addressing the ceremony said that the government would deliver visible service to people in the next two years.
Elaborating strategy for the uplift of Peshawar, he informed that shifting of general bus stand out of the city, development of Regi Lalma Township, construction of drainage system along the Ring Road and development of park of international standards in Peshawar were underway.
Earlier Muhammad Saleem Hassan Watoo, Director General Peshawar Development Authority while highlighting salient features of the project informed that besides construction of service roads on both sides of the ring road, drainage system and security check posts would also be established under the project.-PR
