According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) wing of the Pakistan Army, the participants of the meeting took a holistic review of the internal and regional security situation including reconciliation with Afghanistan and the security of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
The meeting discussed the importance of the timely and dignified return of TDPs, the statement added.
The COAS reiterated that all efforts and resources will be employed to bring about lasting stability and socio economic revival for prosperity and well being of displaced people of affected areas.
The Army Chief also stated that while Pakistan has achieved significant successes in the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb, the war against terrorism is complex and requires a steadfast and unified response. Terrorists are being funded externally by hostile intelligence agencies and have their sympathizers at home who provide them shelter and refuge.-Agencies
