Due to the ban imposed on 7 countries by Trump, over 13 crore people of these countries won’t be able to enter the US. This harsh decision was bound to evoke the ire of these 7 countries and so it has. Israel is the only country that has supported the decision of the American president to construct a permanent wall on the Mexican border saying it would checkmate entry of illegal immigrants into the US. The Canadian prime minister must have annoyed the US president by offering those persons asylum whom Trump doesn’t want to enter America.
The question one should ask oneself is this:if the US is such a bad country as some people would have us believe then why should the people round the globe kick such a rumpus over the decision of Trump to close its borders to the outsiders?If a country wants to regulate its border management in order to doubly ensure itself that the terrorists or persons with criminal record do not enter its soil what is wrong with it?
Let us take the case of this country. Don’t we want that there should be a proper scientific mode of entry into this country of foreigners including the residents of our neighbouring countries in order to ensure that criminals and foreign agents assigned by our enemies with the task to indulge in terrorism inside Pakistan don’t enter it?So of Trump wants to do the same with the American borders why should there be such a hullabaloo over it?It is as simple as that.
The fact of the matter is that every country has got the right to curb acts of vandalism and terrorism and if there is evidence that foreigners have a hidden hand in them it should be made difficult for them to enter that country. One’s country should come first in the list of priorities of every government worth its salt.
