LAHORE: The local court has issued arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri.
The arrest warrants have been issued for violations of Loudspeaker Act and causing mayhem in Islamabad outside Parliament House and PTV headquarters during the protest in 2014 aimed at toppling the government. Reports said warrants were also issued for DJ Butt.
Both the parties had staged sit-ins in Islamabad against the government. The sit-in by Imran Khan-led PTI continued for a long 128 days.
