LAHORE, February 17: An alleged facilitator of the February 13 Lahore blast has stated that the terrorist attack was planned in Afghanistan, sources reported on Friday.
In a short video showed during Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif’s press conference, the alleged facilitator Anwar-ul-Haq revealed that he brought the suicide bomber to the blast site where he blew himself up. He also revealed that the terror attack was planned in Afghanistan.
The man claimed that he was a native of Bajaur Agency.
At least 14 people, including two top police officers of Punjab, were killed and around 108 people were injured in the suicide attack during protests staged by chemists at Lahore’s Mall Road on Monday. The First Information Report (FIR) of the attack was filed in Counter Terrorism Department Police Station by SHO Civil Lines Police Station. Murder, attempt-to-murder and terrorism acts have been included in the FIR No. 6/17. The FIR also mentioned that the suicide attacker was accompanied with three accomplices, who managed to escape from the scene of the attack following the incident.-Agencies
