Security forces have killed one suspected terrorist and detained 22 others in nationwide raids as part of the continuing military offensive, Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
According the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Rangers Punjab conducted search operations in DG Khan, Rajanpur, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Attock, apprehending 10 suspects.
“Cache of ammunition and explosive material recovered,” military’s media wing said on Thursday.
Similarly, in Balochistan, Frontier Corps (FC) and intelligence agencies conducted a search operation in Andoor and Ketch areas.
“One terrorist was killed while 12 suspects apprehended. Cache of arms and ammunition recovered,” the statement said, adding that one FC soldier was also injured in exchange of fire with the militants.
Pakistan Army launched the new operation following a series of
terrorist attacks left over 100 people dead last month.
In an interview earlier this week, ISPR chief Asif Ghafoor said Radd-ul-Fasaad is aimed at countering the ‘mischievous’ elements whether they existed within the country or outside.-Agencies
