RAWALPINDI, March 24: The spokesperson of Pakistan Armed Forces Major General Asif Ghafoor thanked Unite Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities for displaying the colours of Pakistan on the Burj Khalifa.
In a tweet, Major General Asif Ghafoor thanked the Burj Khalifa, the authorities of UAE and the people for honouring Dubai-based Pakistanis by showing off the colours of the national flag on the occasion of Pakistan Day.
“Thanks to Burj Khalifa, UAE authorities and people of UAE for adding colours to our Pakistan Day celebrations. Dubai based Pakistanis felt at home,” he said. It seems that Pakistan Day was not only acknowledged in Pakistan only but in certain other parts of the world as well.
According to a tweet from Burj Khalifa’s official account, a spectacular LED show was put up at the skyscraper, which was illuminated with Pakistan’s national flag. “Tonight we celebrate Pakistan’s 77th Republic Day with a spectacular LED illumination of Pakistan National flag on Burj Khalifa at 7:15 pm,” said a tweet on Burj Khalifa’s official account. -DNA
