HYDERABAD, March 27: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that the government is committed to root out terrorism and all out efforts are being made in this regard.
He was addressing PML-N workers convention in Hyderabad.
Prime Minister said that Pakistan is changing due to government’s efforts. He said the back of terrorists has been broken and peace has been restored in Karachi, Balochistan and other parts of the country.
Nawaz Sharif professed that the situation was worse back in 2013, however; a new Pakistan is now emerging with the grace of Allah.
Nawaz Sharif expressed his profound thanks and appreciation to the people of Hyderabad for a warm reception and mentioned that the same enthusiasm was visible in other parts of the country as well.
The Prime Minister said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor will prove as a game changer in the region. He said CPEC will bring prosperity and development in the country.
He said this mega project will provide employment opportunities to the youth. Nawaz Sharif said that the government has started a number of development projects for the betterment of common man.
He said health card programme has been started to provide modern health facilities to the people.
The Prime Minister said the load shedding has been overcome and the government has also started projects to meet the future need of electricity in the country.
He said the networks of highways and motorways have made the lives of the people more comfortable.
The Prime Minister also announced a number of development projects for Hyderabad . He said that Prime Minister’s Health Card programme will be started soon in Hyderabad to support the poor segments of the district.
Nawaz Sharif announce announced to set up a new airport of international standard in the district. He said that metro bus service project will also be soon started in Hyderabad.
Prime Minister announced 500 million rupees for the development of the district. He also announced for the establishment of a university in Hyderabad and announced 1000 million rupees for the university.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Railways Saad Rafique said that PML-N has fulfilled its promises made with the people of the country during the 2013 general elections.
He said the major challenges facing the country have been overcome during the last four years. He said the terrorist are on the run and their back bone has been broken, power load shedding has been reduced significantly and law and order situation improved in the country.
He regretted that the benefits have not been properly transferred to the people of Sindh due to the provincial government. He said now the federal government will fill the development gaps that the provincial government could not complete in the province.-DNA
