LAHORE, March 29: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday submitted a resolution in Punjab assembly for the removal of Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique from his post.
The resolution submitted by PTI MPA Malik Taimoor Masood says that safe travelling by train has become a dream in the country as 188 accidents have been recorded in last three years.
Railway administration has been found guilty of the accidents at major places whereas passengers have to bear the loss of the authorities’ negligence, the resolution added.
It says that Railways Minister has been unsuccessful in preventing the accidents therefore; resignation should be sought from him.
The resolution came after that at least three people were killed while nine others sustained severe wounds as Shalimar Express collided with an oil tanker at a railway crossing near Hiran Minar in Sheikhupura on Monday night. -DNA
