LARKANA, February 12: Debate Competition was held on the title “Importance of Trees for Healthy Environment” at Galaxy Grammar High School Larkana. The programme was organized by Environment Watch Trust, Sub Office Larkana, Sindh. Dignities and students participated and shared their views about the environmental issues and importance of trees. The programme was started with recitation of holy Quran. The debate programme was chaired by the Nisar Ahmed Director GGHS Larkana, and Chief Guest of the Programme was Engr. Sajjad Ali Mangi, Provincial Coordinator EWT.
Ten students from Class IX and X participated in the debate competition. During the debate students shared significant information regarding trees and environment protection. At the end of the programme trophies were distributed to the top three winners. First position was awarded to Maria Chandio (Class IX), second position was grabbed by Hira Chandio (Class IX), and third position was clinched by Tahir Leghari from Class X.
Nisar Ahmed Khakhrani, Director GGHS Larkana paid thanks to Chief Guest, Provincial Coordinator EWT, Engr. Sajjad Ali Mangi, Chairperson EWT, Shumaila Javed Bhatti and Patron in Chief EWT, Raja Javed Ali Bhatti for organizing such fruitful event for the first time in the history of GGHS Larkana.
Chief Guest Engr. Sajjad Ali Mangi said, “We have to realize the importance of this natural resource and take part in raising awareness about its importance and in protecting the environment. -PR
