ABDULLAH MUSTAFVI

Restoration of peace on our western front still seems a cry for the moon. Closure and opening of the border though appear as significant steps but reflect nothing more than the seriousness of complexities linked with the deep rooted unrest. There is no dearth of perspectives on Afghanistan circulating in various quarters of media . Usually most of the analysts never miss to describe the role of Pakistan while discussing Afghanistan. Apparently, this approach seems natural as the ongoing unrest in Afghanistan is spread over a larger regional canvas and has a long list of stake holders. These players are known to us and their real intents are no more a secret for the world. Since long Afghanistan has remained an ill governed territory. Foreign forces have tried hard to alter the multi tribal dynamics of Afghanistan and outcome is nothing but absolute disaster. It is very easy to put the blame on either radical elements or on Pakistan but in reality it can only be termed as biased twisting of facts. Unfortunately, this shroud waving over follies of real players of ongoing dirty game in Afghanistan is being done in the garb of analytical journalism. One can find countless pieces appearing in foreign funded magazines or media websites discussing Afghanistan while strictly keeping the spotlight on Pakistan. This strange approach has an obvious purpose of putting pressure on Pakistan . How an analysis about Afghanistan can reach to realistic conclusions without discussing the role of America? Why an analyst ignores the impact of American support to Afghan jihad against Russian invasion ? Impact of American and NATO boots on Afghan soil in post 9/11 scenario can not be kept aside that too willfully with a purpose to throw the burden of failure on the real sufferers . Present Afghan government was formulated through American mediation and the pie was distributed between Abdullah Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani. Lets be realistic about the problem. Violence and extremism is the only natural outcome of American follies. Iraq and Syria sufficiently prove this bitter reality. Afghanistan is another live example of global insensitivity. Media houses and countless publications having roots in west had been advocating a noble crusade against Iraqi WMD. Over a period of time, this shameless stunt got exposed and today we all know that millions of Iraqi citizens paid the price with their lives . Same media quarters are now busy in portraying a false image of regional crisis. It is about time to understand the trick and look upon the reality hidden behind this illusion. It is time to discuss the role of America, NATO and Russia in Afghanistan. Those who blame Pakistan for the entire crisis should open their mouth about Indian atrocities in Kashmir , conspiracies in Afghanistan , terror sponsoring in Pakistan and infinite thirst for destructive weapons. Why to jump on conclusions about Islamic military alliance without discussing the spread of Iranian arms in Syria ,Yemen, Bahrain and Afghanistan. Undoubtedly , complex regional scenario poses multiple serious challenges for Pakistan. We have to put our house in order through persistent evaluation and cautious acceleration. On intellectual grounds, Pakistan can not afford to be carried away with the falsified effects of biased journalism mostly steaming up with the western fuel. Finding a solution for Afghanistan in the presence of foreign boots on ground is just like extinguishing the fire with fuel . Let’s call spade a spade . America is part of this crisis and her alliance with India is adding more complexities to already deteriorated regional environment . Analysts maintaining meaningful silence on such most obvious aspects are not doing any justice with profession . You may look around to identify these elements selling journalistic norms and noble ethics by shrouding the heinous crimes of global players . I assure you , there are countless !
