ISLAMABAD, February 13: Step Ahead School F-10/1 here organised an event to celebrate Solidarity with Kashmiris. Chief Guest was Nazir Ahmed Shawl. Chief Patron Kashmir concern UK. Senior Journalist Raja Javed Ali Bhatti was the Guest of honor. Shawl narrated story of Kashmir and said “While after the illegal occupation of a big part of Kashmir by Indian army, the heaven of Kashmir valley was enclosed in barbed wires drenched in blood which raised the issue of human rights violation in Kashmir. Kashmir was the unfinished agenda of partition plan of 1947 which has divided Pakistan and India into two separate independent states. Under the plan Kashmir was part of Pakistan but unfortunately soon after independence India occupied part of Kashmir and kept people of the territory under its yoke. However, the Kashmiri freedom fighters liberated part of Kashmir from Indian occupation which is known as Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan is extending its moral, political and diplomatic support to struggling Kashmiris as father of nation Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah has declared Kashmir as ‘Jugular vein of Pakistan’. The part of Kashmir called Azad Jammu Kashmir is officially recognized by Pakistan as a separate state, having its own parliament, head of state and governing institutions. The day protests against Indian occupation of part of Kashmir which is also an issue in bilateral relations of Pakistan and India since the partition. At the end Nazir Ahmed Shawl presented his own book along with book of Anjum Zamarud Habib “Prisoner No 100” to principal Step Ahead School, Huma Shahat. Raja Javed Ali Bhatti also motivated students to understand Kashmir issue and make more active participation in all activities in this regard.-PR
