ISLAMABAD, February 13: Additional Session Judge Islamabad Parvez Al Qadir Memon has reserved decision on General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s request for permanent exemption from appearing in the Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case here on Saturday. However the complainant Tariq Asad Advocate protested over reserving judgment and demanded of the court judge to immediately announce the verdict because he is afraid that the forces who are protecting Parvez Musharraf could affect the judgment. The judge rejected the request of Tariq Asad and said he will not come under pressure and is also answerable before Almighty Allah and if he could not sustain the pressure he would prefer to shift the case before some other judge instead of delivering wrong verdict.
According to details, a hearing for the Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case was held in the federal capital on Saturday. The proceedings were conducted in the presence of Additional Sessions Judge Pervez Al Qadir Memon. A decision regarding general (retd) Musharraf’s request to obtain immunity from appearing in court for the case, was preserved by the court till February 20.-Sabah
