ISLAMABAD, April 30: An important meeting presided over by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held on Sunday at Jati Umra which reviewed the situation occurred among the institutions after Dawn Leaks report. The meeting was attended by CM Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar, Ishaq Dawn and high-ranking officials of the Government. They discussed the Dawn Leaks report and accusation of Imran Khan for offering Rupees 10 billion. The meeting lasted for about two and a half hours. Before the meeting Prime Minister held one-on-one talks with Shehbaz Sharif.
According to media reports Prime Minister said that he does not believe on the politics of confrontation. He said they have not played confrontation politics and would also refrain from it in future. He said that we would wipe out terrorism from the country.
According to sources, Prime Minister has given the task to two persons to take the army into confidence for solving the Dawn Leaks issue. Chaudhry Nisar and Shehbaz Sharif will proceed to Islamabad to meet the Army leadership.
After the meeting the daughter of Nawaz Sharif Maryam Nawaz in a tweet said that the reports on media for giving the task by PM to two personalities are wrong. She said that Nawaz Sharif has not given any task to any one.
Anchor Hamid Mir of Geo News has suggested to the Prime Minister to stop PML-N leaders and workers to desist of tweeting on social media against the Army. Otherwise it would be damaging both for the Prime Minister and the country. -Agencies
