ISLAMABAD, May 1: Chairman NAB Chaudhry Qamar ul Zaman has sent name of those NAB officers to Supreme Court in connection with Joint Inquiry Team (JIT) in Panama case against whom inquiries are already underway.
Chairman NAB has sent names of Director General (DG) Hasnain Ahmad and Luqman Aslam to Chief Justice Supreme Court (SC).
According to media reports departmental inquiry is continuing after the court had taken notice of illegal appointments and promotions in NAB. Hasnain Ahmad and Luqman Aslam figure atop in this inquiry. They are charged with r appointing illegally dozens of persons in NAB by abusing their powers.
A 5-member bench of SC has ordered to constitute a JIT to probe into off shore companies framed by Nawaz Sharif to make illegal assets.
NAB chairman has sent the name of corrupt officers to SC rather than honest officials. He has not bothered to either refute or verify media report. PTI has already filed a reference against Chaudhry Qamar ul Zaman in SC which will be taken up for hearing on May 16. The court has been prayed through this petition to remove him from his office and order to hold inquiry against him.-Online
