- Three Kashmiris martyred in Pulwama
SRINAGAR, February 14: In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmad Shah has said that the Kashmir dispute is gaining momentum with changing world political scenario.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah in his telephonic conversation with the party representatives and activists on the inauguration of party office in Shopian said, “Keeping in view the major political changes taking place across the globe, there seem to be positive changes happening with regard to Kashmir dispute as world leadership has realized the vitality of settling the dispute to ensure a peaceful world.”Terming Jammu and Kashmir as unfinished agenda of the partition of sub-continent, he said, until the people of the territory are not given the right of deciding their future, the region will continue to loom under political anarchy and threat of war.
“We must generate hope among the people that they are not alone in the freedom movement but the justice-loving people of the world are assuring their support to our cause. At global level, the Kashmir dispute is witnessing a paradigm shift with world leadership mulling to seek resolution to the dispute,” Shabbir Shah said.
Meanwhile, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiris including a woman in Pulwama, Sunday.
One youth identified as Aadil Wagay, who was a resident of Bandipore, was shot dead by the troops during a siege and search operation in Kakpur village of the district. The killing led to forceful anti-India demonstrations and clashes between protesters and Indian police in Pulwama and adjoining areas.
Two civilians including a woman were killed and many were injured when police resorted to firing and teargas shells on the protesters.-KMS
