PESHAWAR, May 9: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak welcomed Dr. Sarbuland Khan,Tehsil Councilor Summar Bagh District Lower Dir to the fold of PTI, adding that people from different parties were joining PTI that indicated pro change trend. PTI wanted to change the system and it revamped education, health, police and other social sectors setting an example before others to follow, he added.
He was addressing a big Shamuliati gathering at Chief Minister House Peshawar. Provincial Minister Mehmood Khan and others attended. Chief Minister welcoming the new entrants to PTI said they made a right decision for the future of the province. Now this province has no sifarash culture and there was rule of law. His government introduced dozens of legislations and reforms thus setting a system to deliver, he added. He called upon the people to strengthen the people friendly system and which was against corruption. Collectively we will eliminate all forms of corruption and malpractices, he added.
The Chief Minister particularly referred to the right to information, whistle blower and right to services laws adding that these laws would totally eliminate the wrong doings in the public sector institutions. He said PTI government knew the weaknesses in the system and how these weaknesses could be removed, adding that we are working on them.
Pervez Khattak said his government made up the missing facilities in the schools and ensured the presence of teachers. Simultaneously his government upgraded the healthcare facilities and recruited doctors and ensured their availability in their respective hospitals. His government also, he added, released billions of rupees for the provision of equipments in public healthcare centres.
Chief Minister referred to billion tree tsunami project under which 60 crores saplings have been planted and soon his government would achieve the target of one billion trees. He assured that he would take up the issue of loadshedding with the federal government adding that he had asked the federal government to transfer him the electricity production, distribution and management to the province and he would evolve an efficient mechanism to overcome loadshedding and provide cheap electricity to the people. The federal government was shifting blame to the province at least the federal government should realize its responsibilities as shifting blame to others was not a good tradition.-PR
