NSA expresses concern over ongoing complex war of terrorism

ISLAMABAD, May 9: National Security Adviser Lt. Gen (R) Nasser Khan Janjua on Tuesday expressed concern over the ongoing complex war of terrorism.
He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of European Union in Islamabad.
A project of STRIVE (Strengthening Resilience to Violent Extremism) proposed by European Union with special reference to Punjab and KPK also came under discussion.
Nasser Janjua said that strengthening Resilience to Violent Extremism is an idea that can actually work on the root causes of extremism and terrorism. He said that to mitigate extreme thought we need to introduce a thought which is superior in its character and narrative to help change the mindset. The member of the delegation requested for support from government at Federal and Provincial level to devise a formal mechanism for the implementation of the project. -DNA
