For more, than two decades I have been writing regularly about the clandestine existence or likely emergence of an organised axis of three to destabilize Pakistan by creating a network of terrorism on the one hand and propaganda on the other, the THREE of the equation here are India, Israel and the U.S. Each of these three has its reasons to drown Pakistan in a sea of strife and conflict. India of course is our archenemy for the simple reason that a rapidly increasing majority of the Hindu-dominated population there, in the back of its mind believes that the partition of India was an aberration, and what was wrongfully done can be and should be undone. In this context I will mention here the emergence of powerful voices in our own ranks that talk of the partition as an aberration. Najam Sethi, Asma Jahangir (and their likes) are befitting examples. They enjoy power here which was unthinkable in the years gone by.
Israel regards Pakistan as a major threat to its hegemonious ambitions in the Mideast, because of the simple reason that it sits over what has been dubbed as Islamic Bomb.
The U.S views Pakistan now as a dangerous ally of China and has been investing hugely on the goal to build a powerful India to combat the influence of China.
For this purpose it is widely believed that the powerful military of Pakistan should be weakened and brought under the control of leaders who have vested interests in the West, and who are far easier to be bribed or lured into positions that are conducive to the emergence of India-dominated region.
During the last ten years there have been four military leaders—i.e General Pervez Musharraf (2007) General Kayani (2008-2014) General Raheel Sharif (2013-2016) and General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The level of comfort of India, America and Israel with these gentleman has never been high. Their level of comfort with Asif Ali Zardari and Mian Nawaz Sharif is as high as can be. It is unthinkable that the CIA of America and the Mossad of Israel wouldn’t be having near-to-perfect information about the wealth in form of cash or assets that the leaders mentioned above might be sitting over in all the continents.
It goes without saying that this kind of monumental wealth can’t but be the YIELD of several Panamas. Can these gentlemen afford to say NO to London or Washington—and hence New Delhi?
This analysis is intended to prove one point only. The above-mentioned AXIS of 3 is desperately looking for an impregnable Civil control over the Military in Pakistan.
Had this control existed, Kalbhushan Jadhav would not have made headlines.
